Laurent Millet associe depuis près de 25 ans sa pratique de la photographie à d’autres médiums comme la sculpture, l’installation in situ et le dessin. Hybrides, ses œuvres sont formellement hors du temps en réactivant des procédés primitifs de tirages, tels le cyanotype et la gomme bichromatée, qui brouillent la distinction entre photographie et dessin. Un dialogue entre les deux mediums que la Galerie Binome développe dans deux expositions consacrées à l’artiste, Jardin d’après nature, du 29 février au 4 mai, et Vanités géométriques au salon Drawing Now du 21 au 24 mars 2024.
For almost 25 years, Laurent Millet has been combining photography with other media such as sculpture, site-specific installation and drawing. His hybrid works are formally timeless, reactivating primitive printing processes such as cyanotype and gum bichromate to blur the distinction between photography and drawing. Galerie Binome is developing this dialogue between the two media in two exhibitions devoted to the artist, Jardin d’après nature, from February 29 to May 4, and Vanités géométriques at Drawing Now from March 21 to 24, 2024.
Sélection du Parcours Parallaxe
La 16e édition de Drawing Now Art Fair mettait à l’honneur le caractère exceptionnel de certaines propositions contemporaines à travers le parcours Parallaxe. Il revient en 2024 !
Intitulé Parallaxe, ce parcours permettra aux visiteurs un regard différent sur la pratique d’artistes avec un travail particulièrement innovateur et méritant une mise en contexte. Le comité de sélection est constitué de Joana P. R. Neves, directrice artistique de la foire, accompagnée de Claudine Grammont, cheffe du cabinet d’art graphique Centre Pompidou, et de Filipa Oliveira, curatrice et conservatrice en arts visuels pour la ville d’Almada.
The 16th edition of the Drawing Now Art Fair showcased the exceptional nature of certain contemporary proposals through the Parallax circuit. It’s coming back in 2024!
Entitled Parallax, this circuit will allow visitors to take a different look at the practice of artists with particularly innovative work that deserves to be put into context. The selection committee is made up of Joana P. R. Neves, artistic director of the fair, accompanied by Claudine Grammont, head of the graphic art studio Centre Pompidou, and Filipa Oliveira, curator and curator of visual arts for the city of Almada.
